Vehicle history:
This vehicle was once owned by
a French Alfa Romeo garage called Devaux in the Lyon area in 2004. When
the vehicle was bought by its last French owner the rear side windows
and the boot window, which are all Giardinetta specific, were missing and
the owner filled the empty window frames with polycarbonate sheets. These
sheets give the vehicle a "Furgone" look. The French owner
offered the car for sale because of its missing windows which are hard
to source, its registration papers and its ignition keys. In February 2010 the vehicle was
sold by its last French owner to the German company Autohaus Engelhardt
in Walsheim b. Landau which specialises in Alfa Romeo and some other
Italian vehicles. This company offered the vehicle
for sale on E-Bay Germany in February 2010. The vehicle was not sold within the time limit.
In 2011 the car was again offered for sale, this time amongst others on
the "Alfa Bulletin Board forum". The German gentleman who bought the
vehicle at the end of 2011 spent 4 years restoring the vehicle and
searching for missing parts such as the rear windows etcetera. In 2015
after the 4 year restoration the vehicle was roadworthy again. Today
(status April 2017) the car is looking very shiny again and is ready for
many years of fun driving to come.
