Vehicle history:
This
early Giardinetta from the first production year underwent a full
restoration. The current owner (status
Oct.'14) is the second owner and owns the vehicle since 2010. The
car had been standing outside since 1984 which lead to severe rust
damage. The car was not only rusted due to standing outside but also
battered as can be seen in some of the pictures below. After a
meticulous restoration to a pristine condition the car was finished just in time to be exhibited
on the Auto Motor D'Epoca event in Padova from October 23rd till 26th
2014 as part of the Italian Alfasud club stand together with a first
series Alfasud Berlina and a first series Alfasud TI. It was restored to
the original factory specification with the only exception being the
second series Alfasud plastic air intake on top of the bonnet.
Potentially this feature was added by the owner to improve the airflow
into the interior. |
