Vehicle history:
This 904B vehicle is the only
known Giardinetta to be used by the Italian police. It had the licence
plates "Polizia 54486"
and was used from 1979 to 1981 in the central garage in Rome. From
1982 to 1988 it was in service of the Milan street police as a video recorder
test car. What happened to the vehicle after its service for the Italian
police is unknown at this point in time (Aug.'13). The VIN number was
included in the privately published 2003 book Polizia in movimento by
author Masotti Paolo. The Italian scale model manufacturer Autoparco who
specialises in police cars is planning to release a 1:43 model of this
particular vehicle under reference number PS0202AR2103.
