Vehicle history:
South African made vehicle rescued
from scrap yard in 1999 where it was stored as a donor vehicle but still
with a valid registration. After the rescue operation the car was
restored in 1999 - 2000. The original body colour was bronze and the
original interior was a blue coloured one. The engine was replaced with
a 1.5 twin double choke carburettor engine with Autodelta cam shafts,
the interior was replaced with 2 Recaro seats . Besides those main
changes the car was equipped with 3rd series Alfasud plastic bumpers and
grille, the rearview mirror was replaced with a more streamlined
version, side skirts were added and the rear disc brakes were exchanged
with the Alfa 33 drum brake ones. Also the front suspension was altered
by having the disc brakes outboard in the same way as the Alfa 33, this
means the parking brake was also converted to the rear axle instead of
the standard application to the front axle.
