Today is a very special day. It's not only exactly 33 years ago that my Giardinetta was "born" in the Pomigliano d'Arco factory in southern Italy, but the number 33 has a special importance in the Alfa Romeo history. The Alfa 33 was a very successful racing car during the sixties and seventies. Later the successor of the Alfasud was named the Alfa 33 so this birthday is even more special than a "normal" birthday. In 2008 I celebrated the first birthday with a special designed cake, in 2009 some birthday flags were wrapped around the dismantled vehicle and this year ....................

Another birthday cake. This time my wife, Yow Ito-san (the man behind Yow Modellini scale models) and his girlfriend joined the party in Tokyo. A nice evening with delicious food and of course a healthy portion of Alfa Romeo talk were the result. Thanks for the enjoyable evening.
